Green Terrain

I love art with navy blue, lime green and turquoise together, I guess they are my happy colors as I seem to gravitate towards them in my work. I wanted to work with these small 5 x 5 x 1.5 wood blocks to see how different they are from a canvas. Additionally, I wanted to see how to adjust my acrylic mixture for small batches. I do not always want those large cells or circular shapes in my art so I wanted to see what happened if I did not use any silicone in the paint for this particular fluid pour. Sometimes just having the colors mix and bleed together make really interesting visuals too. My idea for the name of these art pieces comes from the Science Channel show What on Earth?, which I love to watch, because the way the acrylic spread and how the colors mixed on the wood blocks reminded me of the terrain seen from satellites in space, hence the name Green Terrain.
